King Salmon
Freshwater King
To fish for the Chignik Kings we travel in our comfortable, high-speed 23′ Alumaweld Jetsled and 24’ WyattWater Jetsled to and from the river, a beautiful trip with wildlife encounters common. The exhilaration of the hookups and the chase for the fish is truly exciting and will provide lifelong memories.
The Kings can be fished effectively with plugs, spinners, spoons and bait. Fly-fishing is an available option although requires perseverance and patience. We have outstanding fishing. Our definition of fun is two forty-pound king salmon hooked and making eighty-yard runs in opposite directions, we hope you agree. This sport fishery is accessible and fun for all ages and interests in fishing, from avid hardcore anglers to family fun first timers. We have all the gear and expertise to hook anyone up to big, beautiful king salmon.
Saltwater King
Saltwater king fishing has been excellent. We have had the time to concentrate on catching beautiful king salmon in Chignik and Castle Bay, primarily trolling and mooching herring. The sound of line being ripped off the reel in long, wild runs has been increasing at an
impressive rate.
The abundance of feed in the Chignik area draws many traveling fish into our district and we’re out to get them. The saltwater limit for kings is 2 per day, 5 per year.
